CTRL+ALT+LUST rewrites the rules of what a rose scent can be, bold, masculine, and fresh. For the first time in years, Lost Tribe is returning to rose, and this fragrance is out of this world combining two beautiful ingredients Rose & Deer Musk!

The story of CTRL+ALT+LUST begins with a Lychee Rose Musk Maceration which opens the fragrance with a blast of rose that has been soaked in musk for over 8 months, layered over crisp bergamot and a cool, resinous breath of Christmas pine and grey pine. Lemon adds a sparkling sharp brightness to the opening, while tea geranium and jade wood bring a green essence to the blend. Piñon amber adds a resinous tree sappy goodness. From the very first spray, this fragrance is a burst of fresh strong rose.

Make no mistake, although it is masculine leaning, this is still a rose fragrance. The heart is built around both red rose absolute and white rose absolute, a pairing that captures the full spectrum of what the flower can offer; the dark, velvety richness of the red alongside the cool, dewy softness of the white. A slight touch of osmanthus weaves in a peachy, apricot-like sweetness. Orris butter adds its signature powdery violet elegance. Pink carnation brings a spiced floral, and lavender keeps the composition grounded and fresh. At the center of it all sits a breathtaking Rose/Vetiver/Petrichor/Patchouli codistillation: earthy, green, post-rain complexity fused directly into the heart of the rose. This is where CTRL+ALT+LUST stops being pretty and becomes powerful.

The base is where the Ouds shine. Bengkulu oud, Merauke oud, and Hindi oud converge in a trio of Indonesian and Indian woods that are fresh and floral (bengkulu), smoky (merauke), and deeply animal (Hindi). A Pink Rose Oud and Red Rose Oud codistillation binds the florals directly into the base, creating a seamless bridge between heart and foundation. Musk root, earthy and animalic in the finest sense, gives the fragrance its seductive dirty quality, working alongside deer musk to create that addictive, animalic bite. Costus root, rosewood, cedarwood, and patchouli round the base into something enduring and woody.

Throughout the wear you get wafts of deer musk with every sniff! Not only is the Lychee rose macerated with deer musk for over 8 months, the entire carrier is a musk tincture that has been sitting and macerating for the same amount of time, 8 months. Deer musk is one of my personal favorite ingredients to work with and combining it with rose makes it magical!

I've been wearing CTRL+ALT+LUST myself every day for the past week, testing it through the summer heat, and it has not let me down once. It stays strong, projects a beautiful scent bubble, and ages magnificently on skin throughout the day. It has become one of my personal favorite releases I have ever created. My wife, who has always leaned toward the more masculine side of perfumery, smelled it on me and immediately asked for her own bottle. That tells you everything.
