OUR ALL NATURAL

4 Step Process

A little insight to the creation of Roses & Cream

  • Step 1: Blend the Roses

Using the correct percentages of each region of rose to produce the desired scent reminiscent of rose water.

  • Step 2: Create the Cream

There is no cream or custard absolute or essential oil so to produce a similar scent we used a mixture between French Vanilla that has the classic vanilla scent along with Massoia Bark that interestingly enough smells like cream. Finally a touch of labdanum to add some sweetness.

  • Step 3: Choosing the Oud

In my opinion the Terengganu region fit perfectly and added the right depth and darkness to an otherwise very bright scent.

  • Step 4: Choosing the Sandalwood

Since this blend did not contain any animalics I wanted to use a sandalwood that had some animalic qualities. The Sri Lankan region provided that muskiness that other sandalwoods do not possess.

Our Ingredients

Rose Otto

The scent of rose otto is characterized by its lush, vibrant floral notes that are both delicate and slightly spicy. Unlike rose absolute, which is extracted through solvent extraction and often has a richer, deeper aroma, rose otto tends to have a fresher, cleaner, and more vivid floral scent due to the steam distillation process. This method also helps preserve the lighter, more volatile compounds in the rose petals, giving rose otto a subtle complexity with hints of green and citrus undertones.

French Vanilla

French vanilla has a rich, creamy, and smooth scent that distinguishes it from plain vanilla aromas due to its deeper, custardy notes. This luxurious fragrance is characterized by its full-bodied sweetness, accentuated with subtle hints of caramel and a slight buttery quality.

Labdanum

The scent of labdanum is complex and rich, characterized by its warm, sweet, and woody notes with a strong resinous, musky undertone. It often carries hints of amber, leather, and balsamic qualities.

Massoia Bark

The essential oil extracted from this bark features a distinctive creamy, sweet aroma with pronounced notes of coconut and hints of cinnamon. The scent is rich and warm, possessing a deep, woody undertone that adds an exotic, tropical flair.

Sandalwood

Sandalwood has a classic, creamy, and warm woody scent that is deeply soothing and exotic.

Our Quality Speaks For Itself

Fact 1

The smell of roses is that it's not just delightful, but scientifically versatile in its composition, which can change based on the time of day. The scent of a rose is strongest at dawn and gradually fades throughout the day. This phenomenon occurs because roses increase their production of scent chemicals in cool nighttime temperatures, which are then released as the morning warms up.
Moreover, the chemistry behind the scent of roses is quite complex, involving over 300 different compounds that contribute to their distinctive and beloved fragrance. This complexity allows for the vast variety of rose scents, from sweet and floral to deep and musky, depending on the species and environment. This variability is part of what makes roses a perennial favorite in perfumery and horticulture.

Fact 2

Labdanum was highly prized in ancient civilizations for its supposed medicinal and mystical properties. One notable example is its use in ancient Egypt, where labdanum was a key ingredient in kyphi, an incense blend that was burned in temples and used in various rituals. Kyphi was not only valued for its pleasant fragrance but was also believed to have therapeutic benefits, including the ability to soothe asthma, relieve insomnia, and calm the nerves.
This multifaceted resin was also used by the ancient Greeks and Romans in medicines and perfumes, admired for its balsamic scent that could be used to scent the hair and body or mixed with other resins and spices in prestigious fragrances.
