Parc Floral

Description

A French village and chateau cast backwards in time and a garden highlighting the beauty and aroma of flora from around the world.read more

The name stems from the historical village of Apremont sur Allier in France, particularly the ‘park’ - a secluded garden containing stunning and also fragrant plants from around the globe, as well as architectural glimpses into different cultures and their designs.

Inspiration also came from French impressionist art, landscape and still-life, that so charmingly portray flowers, preserved on canvas from the perspective of that time period. The fragrance is in part an attempt to emulate this time travel to when those works were created and their subject matter, in an abstract scent-form.

As the initial spray has settled, the opening is vintage, very citrus-aromatic, both wild and sophisticated, dirty and clean, savoury, sweet and sour. Soothing and invigorating, the feeling of being freshly shaven!

After a few minutes, this seamlessly transitions into the plump, velvety and comforting heady softness of white rose petals, whose innocent floral bloom is a luscious dessert to the senses. There’s the subtle looming of powderiness and dampness below, but the indulgent heart of the flower reigns supreme. In the blending of the aromatic fauna of this formula we chose very unique ingredients such as litsea cubeba, marigold, clary sage, immortelle, galbanum, and spanish verbena.

Cedar gradually draws up a chair for the middle notes to wilt off, infused with and supplemented by hints of oakmoss and hints of oud, cultured and comforting in taking hold. Rounded, slightly vanilla-floral nuances return before heading back into barbershop territories.

In short, it has a complex, vintage, barbershop-style opening with lots of citruses, a central and unimpeded middle note of white rose and a melange of the best patchouli, oakmoss and musk at its base.

Emerging perfumer talent, Noah Russell, graces us with his first official fragrance. It is an honour to be able to showcase his work in collaboration with Lost Tribe and be the initial platform through which he shares his art with a wider audience. As you know here at Lost Tribe we love collaborating and bringing in new influences, inspirations, and incredible blends for you all to enjoy!

OUR ALL NATURAL

Our Process

  • Step 1: A Visit from Across the Pond

The story of Parc Floral began with a spark of transatlantic collaboration. Noah Russell, an emerging perfumer from the UK, had been quietly crafting a scent concept he believed might resonate with the Lost Tribe. To truly bring the idea to life, he flew from London to New York, carrying in his bag a single vial: the very first sample of what would eventually become Parc Floral. The moment the stopper came off the bottle, I knew we had a starting point. The scent had potential vibrant, clean, floral but it didn’t yet speak the full language of Lost Tribe.

  • Step 2: The Fork in the Formula

As we broke the formula down, it became clear that while Noah’s structure was compelling, the composition leaned heavily on synthetics, which is fine, but not in line with our commitment to natural perfumery. I admired the architectural bones of what Noah had built, but I knew it needed to evolve.

With Noah’s blessing, I began the delicate process of reformulation. I replaced the synthetic musk with a real deer musk tincture. The original stayed intact in its silhouette, but every corner of it now had a new texture.

  • Step 3: A Shared Signature

What emerged was a meeting point between two worlds: Parc Floral became a bridge between Noah’s clean, modern vision and Lost Tribe’s deeply organic, soul-rooted approach. It still had the effervescent brightness of the original, but now it shimmered with natural nuance. The final version bore both of our fingerprints. Noah gave it structure; I gave it spirit. Its truly amazing when two artists can come together across continents, with a shared respect for natural perfumery.

Our Ingredients

Blonde Hyraceum

Warm, leathery, and subtly smoky, blonde hyraceum opens with a distinctly feral edge—but compared to darker grades, it’s gentler and more refined. Its aroma sits somewhere between sun-warmed hay, aged leather, fossilized resin, and a touch of civet musk, all underlined by a dry, powdery earthiness that gives it depth without overwhelming the senses.

Marigold

Marigold’s scent is sharp, green, and herbaceous with fruity bitter overtones and a medicinal bite. It has an intensely pungent top note that can come across as apple-skin tartness crossed with freshly crushed stems, giving it a vibrant, outdoorsy character. Beneath that sharpness, there’s often a hint of spiced citrus, like a lemon rind dipped in savory green herbs.

Our Quality Speaks For Itself

Fact 1

Immortelle gets its name from its remarkable longevity, even after being harvested, the golden-yellow flowers never wilt, maintaining their color and form for years. In perfumery, its scent is just as enduring: rich, warm, and honeyed, with maple syrup, curry, and dried hay nuances that make it instantly recognizable.

Fact 2

Linden blossom, also known as Tilia or lime blossom, is famous not just for its delicate floral fragrance but for its historical reputation as a natural calming agent. In medieval Europe, linden trees were often planted in town squares because it was believed their presence encouraged peace and unity. The flowers, which bloom in early summer, give off a soft, honeyed, creamy scent with green and powdery undertones that’s often used in perfumes to evoke serenity, nostalgia, and sunshine after rain. Linden blossom has also been used in traditional teas to ease stress, insomnia, and anxiety, adding a touch of wellness lore to its beautiful scent.
